Tuesdays with Caitlyn

ByQ

Things are bustling and people are husting ‘round these parts. But just as important as designing new socks, packing out Luxury Soaps and developing more efficient infrastructure is taking a moment to clear our heads, learn a little more about one another and get down with our creative selves.

What’s that, you say? We should totally start making art for an hour or so every Tuesday morning? We were thinking the same thing! (You’re so smart.) That’s why we asked Caitlyn, our resident artist and order fulfillment wizard, to lead a weekly art class with the BCARC crew.

They are loving it. So far, the team has made masks, drawn on scratchboard, painted with watercolors… every week a new lesson and every week a new medium. Liz got to draw a poodle (her favorite animal!), and Krystal especially liked working on the sand art project. This week everyone put together tissue paper collages and next week, weather permitting, they’ll go outside for bubble drawings.

It’s no chore for Caitlyn, either. “I love it!” she says. “I love that I can take an hour out of work every week and play with [the BCARC team].” You can’t argue with that!

Thanks a Bunch!

You should make a line specifically for teachers... I just discovered your website because I've obviously been living in a hole. YOU MADE MY NIGHT! And the fact that you are doing such amazing work in your community, well that makes me want to spend even more money on stuff I don't really need! Thanks, Blue Q!
