Any person who really helped you in your awesome artistic journey?

My parents have always been supportive, from funding my first set of Crayola 64 colors with the built-in sharpener to regularly rocking my Blue Q gear. My mom recently unpacked my childhood art desk to pass down to my daughter.

Listen to music while you work? Anything special in your work space that unleashes your creative juices?

Embarrassingly, I need to blast pop-punk from the ‘90s to keep jamming on projects. It's really hard for me to listen to new music when working. I get too distracted. Putting on something old and familiar allows me to get in the zone.

Where do your best ideas come from? (dreams, shower, museum, train?)

Anywhere! I keep an ongoing notes app on me. I always write down something I overheard, a quote from a book or something that catches my eye online. I love returning to these notes with a fuzzy sense of context months later. It tends to inspire something new.

On a project, what’s the rush like when everything clicks?

It feels like landing a kickflip, shooting a 3-pointer and shredding a sweet guitar solo simultaneously.

Where do you work? What’s your workspace like? Any objects you’ve had a long time?

My workspace is a mix of function and fun. I have my desk, drawing materials, shop inventory and shipping supplies. It also has a number of art books, prints, paintings I have collected over the years, and a bunch of guitars. Sometimes you have to sit there, stew in creative juices and strum a guitar.
