Social Justice & Equality

People are everything at Blue Q. Whether it’s under our roof, down the street, or across the globe, we aim to actively participate in our community and support those who need it most.

As such, we’re committed to supporting organizations that are working to further social justice causes such as racial equity, LGBTQIA+ rights, and gender disparities. Beginning in fall 2022, 1% of the sale of every Catnip Cat Toy will support these initiatives, with donations made to a range of international and local groups. In addition, we’re pledging to contribute 1% of the sale of select new categories to social justice causes in the future. Funds from 2022-2023 will go to support the work of the Berkshire Immigrant Center, Southern Poverty Law Center, Trevor Project and Malala Fund.

In addition to these donations, Blue Q has contributed funds, supplies, and time to a number of hard-working, locally based organizations including West Side Legends, Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity, and the Elizabeth Freeman Center, which provides services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and to their families.
