Stickers for decorated snail mail

A handwritten note deserves an envelope with a little personality, too. Stickers for decorated snail mail add a finishing touch to letters, birthday cards, thank-you notes and just-because messages. The right design can echo the occasion, complement the card inside or remind the recipient of something you both love. For pen pals and regular letter writers, decorating the envelope is another way to make each exchange feel personal. Even a short note can arrive looking like someone put some thought into it. Because someone did.

When choosing stickers, consider the size of the envelope, the space available and the mood of your message. A small accent can leave the handwriting in the spotlight, while a more prominent design can give a plain envelope some character. Allow plenty of clear space for the delivery address, return address and postage; the decoration shouldn’t make the mail harder to deliver. Stickers also make a thoughtful addition to a gift of stationery for someone who enjoys sending cards or keeping up with friends by mail. They’re a little encouragement to send the next letter.
