WHAT DID YOU GET IN TROUBLE FOR AS A KID? ANYTHING ADULTS TOLD YOU TO AVOID THAT’S ACTUALLY A BIG PART OF YOUR LIFE NOW?
I used to get into trouble on a daily basis for my sarcasm and attitude. It was referred to as my "Smart Mouth," and I have to agree, it has really turned out to be. My entire brand is an homage to it.
ANY PERSON WHO REALLY HELPED YOU IN YOUR AWESOME ARTISTIC JOURNEY?
The first person who comes to mind is a small-business owner named Taber in Fort Wayne, IN, who operates two incredible shops, one a lifestyle shop Called Fancy and Staple and the other a toy shop called Hopscotch House. Before I had figured out a style, direction or even had a clue that I'd ever be making art as my job, Taber wholesaled some wacky prints I had, then the wacky prints turned into painting a door at her shop, then an art show, then a 50-foot mural and so on and so forth. Had she not taken a chance and shown interest in what I was doing then, I'm not sure I would have had the confidence to pursue art so heavily during that time.
LISTEN TO MUSIC WHILE YOU WORK? ANYTHING SPECIAL IN YOUR WORK SPACE THAT UNLEASHES YOUR CREATIVE JUICES?
I'm all over the place when I work. I listen to comedy podcasts, bad reality TV shows, music, I make facetime calls to my mom while I work, I cry while I work, talk to my boyfriend while we both work, and sometimes I put in a full work day in complete silence. I don't know that any of these things motivate me to sit down and get to work, but I'm sure that whatever I decide to create that day morphs into its final form because of what I'm listening to or doing.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DRAW AS A CHILD? WHY DID THAT LODGE IN YOUR HEAD?
Horses. I was a horse girl. I lived by the horse and died by the horse. I grew up in the country, and my grandparents lived on our property. They always had beautiful horses. So I would get to see them every day and stare at them creepily from a distance like a stalker. I was able to ride them but not very often, and I think that's where my sick obsession stemmed from. They were always in my desperate eyesight but rarely was I allowed to touch them. I learned to cope and kick my horse addiction but it will forever be a slippery slope.
