This is Cole. Cole is nine years old and attends Morningside Elementary in Pittsfield. He likes to read, a lot, and he’s awesome at it.

His mom, Missy, one of our super-fantastic warehouse peeps, thought that Cole might be interested in sharing his passion with an audience. And like any good mom, she knew he’d be more into the idea if he felt like it was his own. So one night, as they curled up with a good book, she reminded him about our BCARC crew and how they also love story time. Cole’s a smart kid, so he was quick to pick up the clues. “I should totally come in and read to the BCARC guys!” he said. (Ok, I might be paraphrasing.) “Awesome!,” said Missy. “Awesome!!,” said us.

So that’s what Cole did. He came in last week and read to the BCARC crew for an entire 45 minutes and they LOVED it. He was kind, and patient, and enunciated beautifully. He also promised to come back the next day he gets out of school early. Again, we said, “Awesome!”

Missy said she’s never been prouder, and we totally get it. Cole is one cool dude.
